Graduation of CUEDIP - 24th Nov 2018

24th November 2018 went down in  history of MiWEPs as the first ever graduation ceremony for all its CUEDIP students. These students will be graduating with Executive Diploma in Administration from International Professional  Manager’s Association (UK). The Graduation Ceremony of Executive Diploma IPMA (UK) Class 2018 took place on the 24th November 2018 in Auditorium Mercu Alam Bina, University Malaya from 1pm – 5pm


This program, shortly known as CUEDIP was a SEDIC funded program. It was targeted for 100 Indian Women in the B40 category. Those participating were either employed or doing their own business and yearning for paper qualification as a form of recognition and to move forward.


At 1.30pm, the ceremony started off grandly  with the Academic Procession accompanied by Bagpipers.  This was followed by Negaraku and a video presentation on MiWEPs.  The  congregation was then welcomed by Dr. Maria Rufina, President of MiWEPs, after which,  Ms Nawarmani the Program Coordinator & Deputy President of MiWEPs, gave an Overview  of CUEDIP.

This occasion will not be meaningful without the presence of IPMA (UK). We were indeed privileged and honoured to have  the Director of British Council Malaysia, Ms Sarah Deverall, to deliver the message from IPMA (UK). This was followed by a speech by our Guest of Honour, Professor Datuk Dr. NS Rajendran (Then SEDIC Pengarah), who was instrumental in enabling us to carry out this CUEDIP. He then officiated the Graduation ceremony. Immediately after all Academic team took to the stage for the graduation ceremony which lasted a good one and a half hours. Other guests who graced this auspicious occasion were Dr Jaya Bushani, the Honorary Advisor of MiWEPs, Dato R. Ramanathan, President of KLSICCI and Dato V.Shanmughanathan, President of SICCE.

There was also the ceremony of Tassel Switching and Appreciation Ceremony, where the graduates gave a standing ovation to all parents.

The graduation ceremony concluded with the Reverse Academic Procession accompanied by Bagpipers and this was followed by a group photography and HI Tea fellowship.
